Ego Break Retreats Terms of Agreement

  1. Cancelation Policy: 100% of all monies paid to Everything Is OK less a $75 processing fee are refunded, or registration may be transferred to a different listed Ego Break retreat for cancelations made within 60+ days before the retreat start date. 50% of all monies paid to Everything Is OK less a $75 processing fee are refunded, or registration may be transferred to a different listed Ego Break retreat for cancellations made 30-59 days before retreat start date. 0% of monies paid to Everything Is OK will be refunded with NO option to transfer registration to a different Ego Break retreat for cancellations made within 0-29 days of retreat start date. However, 100% of all monies paid minus a $150 processing fee will be refunded in the event that the retreat has sold out and Everything Is OK is able to rebook your canceled room before the retreat start date. **If Everything Is OK has to cancel the retreat for any reason OTHER THAN NATURAL DISASTERS: such as hurricane/flood/storm/evacuation, you will receive a full refund (100%) of your reservation fees paid. In the circumstances a retreat has to be canceled due to a natural disaster, no refunds will be offered. Under zero circumstances will refunds be given for travel expenses. **
  2. I agree to hold Karrie Loomis and Everything Is OK harmless of any and all damage to my property and/or injuries to myself in the case of any and all types of accidents that may occur during my travel to and from the retreat and for the duration of my stay at the retreat.
  3. I agree to be respectful, courteous, and considerate to all property and all personal at the retreat. I agree to pay for any damages I cause to the retreat property.
  4. I agree to refrain from getting intoxicated on any substances for the duration of my stay at the retreat. I will not bring any drugs/drug paraphernalia on to the retreat property. To include but not limited to alcohol, nicotine, and marijuana. Ego Break Writers’ Retreats are smoke free environments. I will not smoke anywhere on the premises of the retreat.
  5. Check in is between 5:00-9:00pm on the first date of the retreat. Check out is no later than 11:00am on the last date of the retreat. I understand that all activities and workshops are optional, and it is my choice, my responsibility, and of my own accord as to what I participate in and all that I do for the duration of the retreat.
  6. Quiet hours are 10:00pm through 8:00am. And I will also be respectful and quiet each afternoon during the private writing time.
  7. I agree that I will not attend the retreat in the event that I have symptoms of COVID or the flu. If symptoms appear during the retreat, I agree to check out of the retreat. In the event I get sick and cannot attend the retreat, or if I have to leave early, I understand will not receive a refund of any of the registration fees I have paid. And I agree to hold Everything Is OK and Karrie Loomis harmless of any illnesses that I may or may not have contracted while attending the retreat.
  8. I understand that transportation and travel to and from the retreat are not included in the registration fee and are fully my responsibility. With the exception of the California retreats only, which include transportation from and to the Eureka/Arcata Airport (ACV) on the designated retreat start date and end date.
  9. I consent to have my photograph taken during the duration of the retreat. I give permission to Everything Is OK and Karrie Looms to use my photograph for marketing/advertising/social media.
  10. I am traveling to Ego Break Retreat, staying at the Ego Break Retreat home, participating in any or all workshops and activities, and traveling from Ego Break Retreat under my consent and of my own accord. I hold no one other than myself responsible for the circumstances and consequences of attending Everything Is OK’s Ego Break Writers’ Retreat.
